January 2019 Wrap-Up + State of the ARC

2019 just started, and the first month is already over. Not that I am complaining – January is exam season in Hungary, so while it was quite stressful at times, I managed to pass all my subjects and had quite a lot of time to read as well.

There are a couple of things I’m doing differently in this new year. Most importantly, I actually started using a set of spreadsheets, partly because it is much easier to keep track of my reading this way, and partly because the charts just look really neat. I also started tracking exactly how much I spend on books, and how fast I actually read those books, because I feel like I need a reality check in that area.

I will also stop listing all the books I read in my wrap-ups: instead, I will share some statistics about my reading, and talk about the books that were the most interesting to me for any reason. I will try to keep this positive and talk about books I liked, but it’s possible that some wrap-ups will have angry vents if a book I read deserves it.

  1. Oooh, I love how this looks! I want to redesign my wrap ups because I’m not fond of the layout but haven’t had any ideas of what I want it to actually look like lol! Also I totally forgot about the State of the ARC bingo sheet, I should be doing my post today so thanks for the reminder 😀

    1. I’m indecivise so I keep changing it too 😀 But I got tired of listing out 30+ books sometimes when I read a lot of short stuff. and you’re welcome, I’m curious how you did on the bingo 😀 I kinda forgot about it too but fortunately remembered before the post.

    1. It was a good and informative book, but I’m really bad with nonfiction because I get bored easily. So I didn’t appreciate it enough I guess 😀 Still, I’m glad it exists.

I love the spreadsheets! I copied an existing one from the Voracious Reader, but I modified it a little to suit my own needs and added some more pie charts and they’re really cool. 😀 It’s just nice to look at

    1. Your spreadsheets are AWESOME! They are super useful, and also by changing a few things to suit my own needs more, I actually learned some stuff about Excel, so there’s that 😀 Thank you for the comment!
